Cradle to grave marketing is still the name of the game. Millions of students and 100’s of thousands of apprentices, are offered enticements to sign up. How many of them are encouraged to use a digital app to help manage their finances? Looking at the open banking stats – hardly any.
What is your organisation doing to encourage consumers already in or facing financial difficulty to use currently available financial management apps designed to help them understand and manage their income and outgoings? With the financial health of millions now at risk it should be incumbent on every organisation with responsibility for young consumers to promote the use of digital apps to manage cash flow, understand I&E, reduce expenditure, prevent over indebtedness and promote savings. Prevention is better than cure.
